About Yellow Split Peas

Yellow split peas are made from the mature seeds of the Pisum sativum plant. After harvesting, the peas are dried and their outer skins are removed through a process called dehulling. The peas are then split naturally along their seam, resulting in yellow split peas. This process not only reduces cooking time but also enhances their texture and flavor.
